- Connection or response rate Working assumption · you can change it
- 25% — The share of leads or calls that reach a live conversation or a reply. Replace it with your own rate in Advanced mode.
- Connected-to-qualified rate Working assumption · you can change it
- 40% — The share of connections that turn out to be a real, qualified opportunity.
- Qualified-to-estimate rate Working assumption · you can change it
- 60% — The share of qualified opportunities that reach an estimate, a quote or a meeting.
- Close rate Working assumption · you can change it
- Worked out from your figures — Quotes won ÷ quotes issued over the period you entered.
- Average sale value Working assumption · you can change it
- Worked out from your figures — Revenue ÷ completed orders or jobs over the period you entered.
- Gross margin on won revenue Working assumption · you can change it
- 30% — Used only when neither your direct costs nor a priced margin were given. The workbook fixes it at 30%.
- Gross margin Working assumption · you can change it
- Worked out from your figures — (Revenue − direct costs) ÷ revenue over the period you entered.
- Quotes won Working assumption · you can change it
- Worked out from your figures — When quotes won is blank, every completed job counts as a won quote.
- Scenario spread Working assumption · you can change it
- 20% — Conservative lowers every conversion rate by this amount; High raises it, never above 100%. A year of figures uses 20%; a month 25%; a single week 35%, because a week is a small sample.
- Near-capacity threshold Working assumption
- 90% — Demand at or above this share of stated capacity is flagged as close to the limit.
- Annual figures Working assumption
- × 12 months — Monthly figures × 12. Assumes the same activity and rates continue all year, with no seasonality.
